Artist Tuesday: French Revolutionary Art

So here I am, sitting in Davis Library, typing away at my lovely art history paper, when it hits me: I forgot Artist Tuesday. Again. Apologies! We’ll have the late night edition today.  I figure the pieces I’m writing my paper on are the most appropriate.  Pretty, I’m writing about how French portrayals of foreigners, exotic people or Native Americans illustrates how the French are both fascinated by these groups, but also demeaning towards them.  All the pieces are in the Ackland Art Museum here in Chapel Hill, so take a peek if you have some free time!
