My goodness, did April fly by! You guys, I’M GETTING MARRIED IN ONE MONTH. I made that bold and italicized to fully communicate just how crazy excited I am!! This past month was so full and beautiful. If you’ve been keeping up, I’m sure you’ve noticed the incredible amount of growth I’ve been blessed with over the last month. I launched my new site, got published for the first time… and the second time, and photographed about a gajillion seniors, with plenty more in the books for the coming weeks. God is good. God is good. I know His grace and love is only going to become greater in my eyes over the next month as I get closer to marrying the most incredible person I’ve ever met.
Sappy moment: Brendan is my best friend. He’s my favorite person in the entire world, and the knowledge that I get to spend the rest of my life with the man I love most is too much for my little mind to handle. Happy is far to small a word to express how I feel about the things to come.
With that said, here’s some things I want to do in May!
No. 1 Rock my last month of “singleness.” I’m talking my bachelorette weekend, beach trips with awesome girls, slumber parties, anything that can be done to the anthem of a Taylor Swift song.
No. 2 Completely finish shooting, editing, sending out and *hopefully* blogging all the 20-something senior sessions I’ll have done by mid-May. Wowzers.
No. 3 Enjoy my last few weeks in my pretty little apartment. I wish I’d taken a nice picture of it to share with y’all, but wedding crafts + the loot from 2 showers + new business things has just exploded in my small space. Trust me, it’s cute.
No. 4 Finish up all the little wedding details in time to enjoy the week of the wedding without feeling burdened by ribbons and flowers.
No. 5 Pack up and move into me and Brendan’s little love nest, which is conveniently/dangerously located a stone’s throw from this amazing BLT shop. It could be the downfall of our monthly budget.
No. 6 Begin setting consistent work hours with structured time for my business. I really need to be intentional about setting hours for email, editing, blogging, etc so I don’t get overwhelmed and resort to watching videos like this.
N0. 7 Continue to improve my presence online. I’m a big fan of sneak peeking fun things on Facebook, so keep your eyes peeled for all kinds of prettiness this month!
No. 8 Spend time with my man as his fiancee and love being just that. Enjoy being unmarried and be grateful for the opportunity to wait for something truly magnificent. I will literally never have this season again in my life, and it’s honestly been really hard a lot of the time. I’m so, so impatient, and it’s hard to wait for something you want so badly. I’ve got thoughts on this I hope to be able to put in a post over the next few weeks, but truly, waiting is a gift we often overlook.
Yay for May! Per usual, here are a sampling of April Instagrams! My Maryland bridal shower with the beautiful women in my family, Tar Heel 10-Miler, pretty gowns from my first wedding dress fitting, and evidence that my friends are the greatest/punniest ever!
Faith - Loveeeee this!
